A whole new kind of family vacation has begun on the shores of Oahu. Aulani is a Resort like no other. Inspired by the wonders and traditions of Hawai’i, Aulani has been uniquely designed for families. Perfectly placed on a beautiful beachfront cove, Aulani offers kids, adults and families Hawaiian vacation experiences with a special magic that only Disney can create. Ka Wa’a Lu’au is an unforgettable evening of family entertainment as only Disney can offer.
A Hawaiian adventure, with a touch of magic, Aulani Resort and Spa is one of the most family-friendly on Oahu. Adults aren’t totally left out, the spa is one of the most lovely on Oahu. The beach is gorgeous, and a quiet pool offers a reprieve from the dozens of children at play. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges. In suites and villas, full kitchens and washer-dryers provide a extra touch of home. Characters wander the property and Goofy commonly leads dance parties at the pool, which is an expansive complex with two water slides, a lazy river, and a play area.
Aulani is located just 17 miles away from Honolulu, in Ko Olina, which is along the Wai’anae coast, a lush, green oceanfront retreat on the calm leeward coast of O’ahu, Hawaii. Ko Olina encompasses 642 acres with sweeping ocean and mountain views and a string of jewel-like lagoons connected by more than a mile and a half of seaside pathways. Born from ancient volcanic upheavals, Ko Olina is a golden island paradise. Hawaiian royal chiefs, their wives, and children came here to fish in the bountiful waters, bath in the sacred pools, race their outrigger canoes and celebrate life.

The resort also features two lounges which serve drinks and smaller bites, but last call rings in early at 9:45. ‘AMA ‘AMA serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Makahiki hosts a Disney character buffet breakfast daily, and also serves lunch and dinner. Drinks and light bites are served at The ‘Olelo Room and Off The Hook. Off The Hook, near the main pool and ‘AMA ‘AMA, offers the same drink menu as ‘Olelo.
The spa offers treatments for everyone in the family (even toddlers!), or the whole family can enjoy a treatment together in the ‘Ohana suite. The pool area is at the center of the resort. Two waterslides, a lazy river, a play area for kids, and a man-made reef are all impressive.
